The small museum in Capovalle houses artifacts from the First and Second World Wars.
In the 1990s, Lombardi Giuseppe (Peppino) worked to create a museum on Monte Stino. One of the tunnels was adopted as the museum’s location and soon became a destination of interest for many visitors. Various acts of looting forced Peppino to move the artifacts to a safer place. In order to better preserve the artifacts from the Great War, including uniforms, weapons, tools, and supplies, the municipality set up a small museum in the village. The tour is completed by the remains of the emplacements and trenches located on Monte Stino. The very evocative route, just a few minutes’ drive from the village, features tunnels and trenches set up to control Lake Idro.
